Jennifer Kobuoa Is Millionaire Sales Agent

Metropolitan Botswana on Saturday night celebrated their first self-made millionaire, as Jennifer Koboua was honoured with an award for hitting the million Pula mark in commissions, all thanks to her sealing million Pula insurance deals for the company 

She is hailed as the first ever salesperson  to reach that target at Metropolitan Botswana. For her feat Metropolitan Botswana recently sent her on  sponsored holiday trips for two to Russia and Dubai.

On the glittering night of music, drinks, food and speeches, Metropolitan Botswana recognised their excelling talent in the retail division, tasked with securing insurance policies for the company.

The award categories went to the  sales agents with the most Mmelegi Funeral Plan Policies, The sales agent with the  biggest premium income,  as well as  the best newcomer.

After spending 14 years in client service operations as a client consultant, Lydia Moeletsi worked wonders in the retail section as a sales agent last year  as she sold  the highest number of Mmelegi policies. She was also recognised for being the best in selling  the highest number of policies, a category the organisers say is awarded to the recipient who sweats blood.

Another star of the night was Kelebogile Motswagonnye who walked away with the Best Newcomer award, where Moeletsi


was also featured  as a nominee.

Oganeditse Ruele also walked away with  the overall winner prize, for  having been  able to consistently balance her production in premium, production in policy number, conservation, policy collection ratio, and most importantly being able to do this month in month out without taking a break.

There were also awards for teams, as Gomolemo Mothusi’s team  walked away with the most profitable team award,  and the overall Best Team awards, while Francistown team of  Labo Dikgosi won the Most improved team, after a poor performance the previous financial year.

Selebe-Phikwe team of Chanda Phirinyane won the Best in Quallty, thanks to their impressive 88 percent  of client retention,“These guys have a third eye and are meticulous in their quality check of business, a hint of dishonesty is easily detected.These are true detectives and shining examples for our industry”, according to the awards notes.

About 15 staff members were also recognised with long service awards for serving the company for  five years or more.
